Position Summary:

The Front Desk Receptionist is responsible for managing patient appointments, greeting visitors, answering calls, and providing excellent customer service in a medical clinic. This role ensures smooth clinic operations and handles administrative tasks while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. Below are front desk staff responsibilities but are not limited to.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Interaction: Greet patients, answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and address inquiries.
  • Appointment Management: Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments. Update and maintain appointment calendar.
  • Documentation: Collect and update patient information. Ensure HIPAA compliance and secure handling of records.
  • Front Desk Operations: Maintain a tidy reception area and manage patient flow.
  • Billing and Payments: Collect co-pays, process payments, and assist with billing questions.

Skills:

  • Strong communication, organization, and multitasking abilities. Basic knowledge of medical terminology and EHR systems is a plus.
